Women Who Make Me Watch Dramas Against My Will: Goddess Edition

Time for another collection of lovely ladies.  This time I grouped them by the category "Goddess."  You know when your actress just has it all and they are so awesome that this might be the only appropriate way to refer to them?  They are gorgeous, great at acting, and full of personality.  I could probably put all my ladies on this list, but the purpose of these groups was to create decent sized posts.

These are the women who the first thing you think of when trying to describe them is: She's a freaking goddess.  Hashtag woman crush for days.

196. Come Back, Mister 돌아와요 아저씨 (2016) Korean

Jung Ji Hoon (Rain), Kim In Kwon, Oh Yeon Seo, Kim Soo Ro, Lee Min Jung, Lee Ha Nui, Choi Won Young, Yoon Park, Lee Tae Hwan, Kwak Deon Yeon

Drama Rating: 7/10     Neck Score: B

I didn't exactly expect this one to be quite this serious.  I mean, they die they come back as Rain and a woman.  That part has to be hilarious.  But then again, they are dead, so what happy ending would there be?  Can I just day that Oh Yeon Seo is amazing?  I already loved her, but she played Han Gi Tak, or Kim Soo Ro, so well, especially at first.  A gangster dude in a tiny girl's body?  Amazing.  The walk, the talk, she had it all down.  It wasn't just a dude, it was Soo Ro.  Rain also did a great job of capturing the mannerisms of Kim In Kwon.  The second male leads, Choi Won Young and Yoon Park, were probably the most confusing part for me.  They were either completely crazy (with jealousy) or a complete slimeball one moment, and then strangely sympathetic at the next.  I hated Slimeball (Yoon Park) more because he should have been a nicer person as the friend of Kim Young Soo (Kim In Kwon), while Cha Jae Gook was just always a crazy nom.  But maybe I am prejudice because I frankly just love Choi Won Young... like a lot.  He plays creepy and crazy so well... well, just everything so well.  Also, huge shout out to Lee Ha Nui.  She's my woman crush for forever.  She did so well!

So, the ending made me cry.  I didn't cry during the end of Descendants at all, but this one had me almost balling.  I didn't love everything about the ending, but it was well written at least.  It was not cheesy, it was bittersweet and good.  There were a lot of tropes or plot twists in the show that I thought I was going to hate that were written well enough that I was pleasantly surprised.  I ended up liking most every episode.  The only thing I didn't like was their attempt to redeem Slimeball.  I say no to that.  Although I saw it coming for him and Crazy Ex.  Scarface is probably the worst person, so I'll leave it at that.  Also Puppy Namja (Lee Tae Hwan) and Kang Ki Young were together again.  I love those two and their bromance.  Best thing that came out of King of High School, so yay.

83. Cunning, Single Lady 앙큼한 돌싱녀 (2014) Korean

Lee Min Jung, Joo Sang Wook, Kin Gyu Ri, Seo Kang Joon

Like I said in the Emergency Couple Review, this one was the much better done divorced couple getting back together.  Also, I am now very in love with Joo Sang Wook.  It was the promos of him being a complete nerd that made me want to watch it.  Also, the humor was way better.  They knew how to keep it classy, even when they were being hilariously horrible to each other.  Plus her giving him a rash from the flowers she knows he allergic to leads to him shirtless, so yeah, keeping it classy (winky face).  They got married young when he was a student and then when he quit his stable job to start his own company and times got too hard, they ended up breaking up.  Then, when she finds out his company is now successful, she plots revenge since rather than acknowledging her help, he insults her.  What's great about this is that they are both at fault and horrible to each other, and both so completely still in love with each other, that it builds well.  It's also a good blend of emotional drama and hilarious comedy.  However there are some episodes that are hard to watch.  Episode 14 I think.  The other peeps, who happen to be brother and sister, both go so completely cray cray and evil that I couldn't stand it and had to force myself through that episode.  Thank goodness it was just one episode, because everyone is pretty honest in this show, sometimes anyways, that even when dumb things like noble idiocy are attempted, they don't work.  This show also does a much better job of showing her being in love with him even though she is resisting, so that it's not like a complete 180 change when she suddenly wants him back, because it's not suddenly.  They literally want each other back from day 1, but just don't know it yet, because they haven't realized it.  The ending was so much better too.  I thought it was pretty refreshing, since the other dramas I was watching at the time both ended lamely.  Also, best confession ever:  "I've got plastic flower" (aka love sickness).

13. Big 빅 (2012) Korean

Gong Yoo, Lee Min Jung, Suzy

What else could the neck score be but an A when Gong Yoo plays both the main lead and the other man?  Well, I guess there is also the kid's normal body, but his neck was good too.  This is based off of the Tom Hanks movie Big, about a kid who's suddenly in a man's body.  Gong Yoo playing a kid in a man's body- YES!  Weird plot twists... no, no, no.  It was super good, but got less good the more plot twists got thrown in.  It got outright weird there at the end, which could have been better executed to make it more clear.  It's Hong Sisters as well, but its the least well done one I've seen so far (even with the ones I've seen after this) but it was still good.  Just a bit weird there at the end.  Gong Yoo is hot.  Everything is worth it!
