Park Seo Joon, Park Min Young, Lee Tae Hwan, Kim Byung Ok, Kim Hye Ok, Kang Ki Young
Drama Rating: 8/10 Neck Score: A+++
The biggest thing wrong with this show is that even when Park Seo Joon is playing a narcissistic chaebol, he's still a muffin. A confirmed muffin. As soon as he starts the eye smile, all narcissism is over, he's just a muffin. But he did a good job of it inspite of that. This was a really fun show. I loved the dynamic between Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon. She was amazing, and her clothes were super amazing too. They inspired Lizabreff to buy a bunch of cute blouses, which sadly turned out to be cheap pieces of crap that were not what was expected. Haha, everyone's gotta have a story like that, right?
So, I really like how no matter what the focus was on in all the weird past stuff, it really just boiled down to the troubles of a relationship. It was a great OTP having to jump all the hurdles of a relationship and wondering what the other one is thinking, and why do they do that, and having silly little spats, or getting jealous, etc. Oh, and also dealing with past childhood trauma which somehow messed up the older brother more than him, although it did a number to everyone involved. Yeah, Baby Namja (Lee Tae Hwan) could have not been in this drama at all and it would have been fine. His role was just weird and unnecessary. Also, he will never be a "hyung." Why do they keep making him play older? He's such a baby!
Can I just say how much I love Kang Ki Young? He is amazing. It's also hilarious that here is another Lee Tae Hwan/Kang Ki Young drama. Too bad they didn't have a bromance in this one too. However, the friendship between him and Park Seo Joon was amazing too. He should win a gold medal for best best friend ever. He was the perfect relationship counselor, what he went through. Haha. Especially with his overly clumsy and stupid secretary. Why wasn't she fired forever ago? But in the end, she did something right. She did something right.
So yeah, super fun, great cast with a great energy. I think I loved everyone in it, besides the unnecessary "oppa." I loved all the different couples in this one too. I was absolutely in love with Secretary Yang. What a man! Heart eyes for days! He was adorable. Love the Bang/Yang couple. I got super invested in the Chansung/Ye Jin couple. So many wonderful couples! Yay! It was just a lot of fun, really.
