Women Who Make Me Watch Dramas Against My Will: Second Leads and "Bitcas" Edition

I am so glad that as I was deciding to do this list, that there were so many wonderful women that I love that I could produce just as many of these lists for the actresses I would watch anything for, as for the actors.  I thought I would start with the ones that I fell in love with as they played the second female leads, the bitcas, if you will.  I love girls who play strong women, who play jerks, or even crazies, and are still so lovable and even the best thing ever.

They have such acting chops that even if I hate their character, I have to also grudgingly like them because they make them so sympathetic and real all the same.  You hate them, but also hate that you hate them because you love them too.  Or you hate that you love them, since they are being so evil... It all comes down to really loving them because they are awesome and play those evil or annoying roles like a boss.  So here are some of my favorite bad girls, who aren't your sweet young things, although they could play them like a boss too, because they are amazing.

216. W 더블유 (2016) Korean

Lee Jong Suk, Han Hyo Joo, Jung Yoo Jin, Kim Tae Hwan, Kim Eui Sung, Lee Si Eon

Drama Rating: 8/10     Neck Score: A

Interesting premise and even more interesting execution.  Every preview made Lizabreff say: "what!?!" and we could never anticipate fully what would happen next.  It was very nice in how unpredictable it was.  I also liked the creation of the other world.  Like the fact that it was a manhwa world governed by the rules of manhwa, such as the cliffhanger ending to episodes and the rules of the character descriptions and roles, etc.  It was pretty clever in that respect.  But that also meant that the plot and worlds were also very complicated, and since it was a fantasy genre, anything could go.  So we never know what craziness would happen next.  This, however was the very nature of the plot.  Even though the world or story was predetermined, the will of the characters made it so that you couldn't just dictate an arbitrary ending.  The characters had to be satisfied.  The laws of the manhwa had to be satisfied.  It was all very complex and wonderful.  There were also so many good characters and actors to pull it off.  Such as Lee Si Eon as Soo Bong.  He was just amazing, poor little assistant artist.  I was impressed, as always, with Kim Eui Sung.  That man is just a good actor.  His characters were probably the most complex, and he handled them so well.  The crowd favorite would have to be the crazy fanboy hospital professor Mad Dog (Heo Jung Do) who represented all of us every episode as we watched.  He was so perfect.  I would have liked to have seen a Puppy/Yoo Jin love story.  I thought they had more chemistry together than she had with Lee Jong Suk.  Like literally Kang Cheol was never going to see her as more than a friend, but she had chemistry with that Puppy Namja everyone kept calling oppa and hyung, even when he was younger than everyone in real life, haha.  I know some people didn't love the ending.  It was about what I expected.  I'm not sure what else was supposed to happen for the ending to make any sense.  So I thought it was great.  I liked all the twists and complex themes, and of course the love story.  I will watch pretty much anything for Lee Jong Suk, but this show was well worth it.  He was great.  The show was great.  Plus, lots of blood AND lots of cute.  Cool!

188. Moorim School 무림학교 (2016) Korean

Lee Hyun Woo, Lee Hong Bin, Seo Yi Ji, Jung Yoo Jin

Drama Rating: 2/10     Neck Score: A+

I think the thing I said most while watching this show was: "What is this drivel?"  This show was nothing but a bunch of pretentious crap.  It was basically a CW show.  It tries so hard to be cool and instead it just looks ridiculous.  I felt so bad for those actors who were actually good.  I wondered how they felt being in such a crappy show.  You know who I'm talking about.  Lee Beom Soo and Shin Hyun Joon.  Why would they ever accept a role in such a lame show?  I even felt sorry for some of the kids who I know can do better if they have a better script and direction.  Like Lee Hyun Woo or Jung Yoo Jin.  Well, actually Jung Yoo Jin was the only kid I actually cared about.  Because of that I wanted her and Hong Bin to be happy together.  I think in terms of actual character growth and development, Hong Bin's character was the most interesting... and frustrating.  Everyone else was kind of boring.  Well, the entire script and plot was just lame crap anyway, so that's not saying much.  And with Hong Bin's acting abilities still being baby, there was plenty of ridiculousness.  Also, I don't even know what to say about how bad the martial arts were.  If they were going to do a show about a martial arts school, could they have please just hired martial artists to do those parts, if not the whole show?  Everything made me cringe and laugh because it was so bad.  Especially the teachers.  Most of them just came off as pretentious losers.  Boy this show was lame and boring.  I couldn't even pretend to care.  The only time I enjoyed watching it was as I was mocking it profusely.  Then at least I had something to laugh about.  But then the ending was so cheesy that it made me want to barf even as I laughed.  So it was boring, boring, barf cheesy!
