New Neck Crush: King of High School (2014)

You probably know how much I love Seo In Guk, from my reviews on Love Rain, Answer Me 1997, and Master's Sun, but his new drama King of High School proves that he is just getting better with age... which is funny to say since he is still playing a high school student, which he still pulls off, but boy is he getting hotter.

You know who else is getting hotter?  Lee Soo Hyuk.

Man.  Rawr.

He was already super hot when he was baby faced and being in 2ne1 music videos and What's Up, etc.

But now...  we get to watch both of these extremely sexy men in what looks to be a very funny and good drama..  I mean, look at their necks:

Also Seo In Guk gets to play both brothers.  Having only watched the first episode so far, I don't know if we'll ever get to see his older brother, but since we know how he looks in a suit, that doesn't really matter.  He's hot enough just as a high schooler.

Uh!  His arm muscles!

And then I saw Lee Soo Hyuk like this:

What are they both trying to do to me!?!

The main girl is on the awkward side, but funny.  Let's be honest, I think she's awkward and it's hard to watch because she's the outward appearance of what we're all doing on the inside.  I'd be checking him out through the doors like this too.

Another thing I like so far is it has a pretty different sort of feel to it already.  The mystery of what's up with his older brother is already very compelling.  Also, the grandpa.  I love him.

Sadly, this is less available since it seems to be only subbed on Crunchyroll's new Kdrama.com site, which is in its beta stages still.  There is also an app in beta stages.  I hope this means that the Roku Channel will be updated soon.  It looks like a pretty nice player, once it gets finished, as it will have more shows that don't manage to make it to Viki or DramaFever.

However, this show is super good for many reasons (double rawr!), and I am looking forward to watching it.

    1. I re-read this post and had to laugh at how positive I sounded, because the only good thing about this drama were how hot Lee Soo Hyuk and Seo In Guk were, because everything else was shiver nasty. What a squeaky, nasty, boring, weird show...

    2. LOL. I still haven't finished it. The casting of the show (of the female lead) was just weird. I don't mind noona romances, but yeah, this one was weird. Seo in Guk and Lee Soo Hyuk though I could look at for hours. They wouldn't even have to say anything.

    3. I wish that would have made it better, but frankly there was far too much awkward noona romance. That was seriously all the show was about, to the point that the only person I cared about was Lee Soo Hyuk's character, because his story was a bit sad. And that consolation girl at the end was just silly because all the love stories in this show were weird, except that office couple and the little sister and friend. What a weird and boring (and pedonoona nasty) show.

    4. It was also rather poorly written and rather boring a lot of the time. That's sort of why I never finished it. That and the whole moving thing.

    5. Def totes it was poorly written. I had to force myself to finish it (because I'm a bit OCD like that), which was painful because it was so boring and so nasty at the same time.
